The TIE XBRL Messaging Portal is a highly scalable any–to-any message switching and data transformation engine, designed to the gateway for your organization.
Build a bridge, from your back-end system to your trading partners. Connect and be connected through TIE XBRL Messaging Portal’s:
- Application integration support
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal receives messages from, and sends messages to, back-end applications such as ERP, and accounting systems. Message status information for use by the back-end system is automatically generated. Integration with the back-end system occurs in real-time and does not require any user intervention.
- Any-to-any data conversion functionality
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal includes XBRL and other translation mechanisms to allow transformation of any format to any other. You can use TIE Mapping Manager to build, test and manage all your transformations from one GUI environment.
Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) support
- Integrated with Relational Database
Management Systems such as Oracle, IBM DB2 and MS SQL.
- Support for communication over disparate networks
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal supports communication through ebXML messaging, the best candidate for an XBRL infrastructure. It also supports various protocols and communicates with an array of VANs. Other supported protocols include SMTP/POP3, FTP and AS2. Supported VANs include X400 mailbox systems, IBM Information Exchange, GXS, Webster.
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal allows you to configure system-privileges for both your own users and your trading partners.
Determine the configuration tasks your administrator can perform, or allow your trading partners to view the messages they have sent or expect to receive.
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal is a highly modular application, enabling you to tailor the system to your exact requirements:
- As your enterprise expands, simply plug-in the adapters you need for connecting to back-end ERP and accounting systems
- As you expand your reach, simply plug-in communication modules for connecting to additional networks, VANs and direct connections
- Run your own processes to further customize your XBRL instance document processing. Your own process may, for example, encrypt and decrypt messages or connect to a database to lookup information required for further processing of a message
From the moment a message leaves the organization and until it is received, TIE XBRL Messaging Portal makes sure you are kept in the loop:
- Full tracking and tracing
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal supports full tracing and tracking of messages, the documents they contain and their associated processes. TIE XBRL Messaging Portal stores tracking and tracing information in Microsoft SQL databases, giving you complete flexibility in building your own queries. Messages can be tracked and traced from any computer using only a Web browser.
- Tracing of individual documents
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal allows you to trace an individual document through its ID. You can view a document’s content at any stage.
For easy backtracking, TIE XBRL Messaging Portal archives both messages and communication commands. Messages and commands are archived periodically, via user configurable ‘time-to-archive’ functionality.
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal can alert you or your business partner of errors and events that occur during communication and message processing.
- End-to-end functional acknowledgements
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal can return communication and status acknowledgements to the sender of a message, whether generated by the back-end application, TIE XBRL Messaging Portal or the recipient’s network. Acknowledgments flow through TIE XBRL Messaging Portal as any other message and can be easily tracked.
TIE XBRL Messaging Portal generates traffic statistics, showing the number and size of all messages that were sent and received.
